About Us
Meet the REDI Systems Team!
Sean Ruth
Sean Ruth, REDI Systems’ director of sales, has spent nearly his entire life in Manhattan, Kan. He loves the town, loves the people, and loves working hard for his customers. Previous to the founding of REDI Systems, he spent 10 years in retail electronics, the last two of which he spent immersed in the fine art of home installation. He’s a certified RTI product Specialist, RTI Level I and II Programmer, a Nuvo Systems Certified Installer and a Lutron Radio RA Preferred Systems Provider…which basically means he knows his stuff. When he’s not working to improve someone’s lifestyle, he spends time with his wife, Jessi, and their new daughter, Presley. A self-professed animal lover and total klutz, Sean likes to exercise and keep up on politics, which helps fuel his opinions on, well, everything.
Matt Martin
REDI Systems technician Matt Martin grew up in Manhattan. A friend of Sean’s since childhood, Matt’s work at REDI Systems includes installing anything from commercial speakers to security systems. Certified in central vacuum and consumer electronics installation, he’s prepared for any obstacles that might crop up during a job. In his free time, Matt likes to spend time with his 7-year-old son, Adrian, and his wife, Heather, and his newborn Daughter Kierra who was born in March. He likes fishing and sports (go Chiefs!), and is an admitted reality TV addict. Secure in his manliness, he also acknowledges a fondness for Elliott Yamin, a finalist from season five of American Idol.
Jocelyn Butler
Jocelyn Butler, Redi System’s executive assistant, has the not-at-all challenging job of keeping the guys at Redi Systems organized. A Minnesota native, she moved to Manhattan with her husband Ryan after he was stationed at Ft. Riley. A study in duality, Jocelyn double-majored in music performance and studio art in college, but she knows her way around a gun and loves to go target shooting on the weekends. An unfailing optimist who labels herself as a “geek,” Jocelyn loves to watch the History Channel and true crime shows, and has a passion for upbeat punk rock bands. When she’s not keeping track of customer requests or making installation appointments, Jocelyn can be found straightening picture frames, rugs…anything, really, due to her slight tendency toward OCD.
Ian Moore
Ian Moore is a consultant with REDI Systems, and has lived in Manhattan all his life. He enjoys the small-town feel of the city streets, and finds relating to the needs of his customers second nature. A proud father of a tyke named Tyrus, Ian swears his favorite thing about being a dad is not knowing what’s going to happen next. (We’ll see how long that lasts.) With an associate degree in graphic design, Ian appreciates the finer things in life, such as painting and sculpting. He also appreciates the not-so-finer things — he’s hooked on MTV’s “The Hills,” an affliction he conveniently blames on his fiancée, Miranda. A member of the REDI Systems team since 2008, Ian loves the friendly, teamwork-oriented atmosphere his job provides.
Andre Barton
André Barton has been in this line of work for 13 years, in a variety of roles. Before coming to REDI Systems, he worked as an installation expert for a cable provider, and has been an independent contractor for Best Buy. A self-described geek, André enjoys setting up cutting-edge technology for his customers, approaching each installation as a learning opportunity. When he’s not debugging his friends’ computers, André is busy being a bit of a renaissance man. He’s into boxing, running and camping, but also enjoys art, music and film. Though not exactly Oscar-worthy, some of his favorite movies are horror films like Halloween. Luckily, working at REDI Systems isn’t as scary as all that. When things get tough or a problem needs solving, André maintains that the teamwork at REDI Systems is unparalleled, and all the folks there are friends. “Really, we are. We even hang out outside of work, which is rare!”
Chris Lemman
Chris Lemman is originally from southwestern Nebraska, but before you start to despise him, you should know that these days he calls Salina home. That’s right — he loves his job at REDI Systems so much that he commutes every day from Salina. Chris has been installing electronics for the past seven years, so he’s worked through his share of tangled coaxial cables. What’s Chris all about besides everything electronic? For starters, he lives in a house full of girls, something he swears isn’t all that bad. But his wife Haley, daughters Kamryn (3 years) and Brynlee (7 months), and his two dogs certainly keep him on his toes. “Even my dogs are girls!” he bemoans. To balance out all the pink, ruffly things he no doubt encounters at home, Chris spends his free time hunting or prepping for hunting. There’s nothing like camouflage and bow hunting deer to make you feel like a man after watching “So You Think You Can Dance” with your 3-year-old daughter.
Extreme Makeover Home Edition
November 2008 ABCs’ Extreme Makeover Home Edition built a home for the Tutwiler family in Chapman, Kansas. Chapman was hit by an EF-4 tornado June 2008 which destroyed most of the town, including the Tutwiler home. Businesses in the community were asked to help out…this is where the opportunity of a lifetime presented itself for us at Redi Systems. We donated our time and installed a whole home security system that Honeywell donated and all the televisions that were donated by other companies. It was a wonderful opportunity that we could not pass up for our small business to do a small part to help those in need.
