This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join an established organization that is continuing to grow, as a Systems Technician, you will have three primary roles:

1*. Troubleshooting* a wide variety of products including, but not limited to: computers, access control, CCTV, Office 365, and home automation. At all times, you must deliver an excellent customer experience and resolve support tickets in a timely manner. Strong research and problem-solving skills are key for this position.

2*. Set up and install* the various components that make up the fabric of our business. This includes but not limited to, access control, CCTV, Networking Equipment, Audio Video Equipment, Control Systems, and Conferencing Systems.

Systems Technician Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, desktops, printers, internet accessibility, networking appliances, wireless devices, and other Technologies

Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical support via ticketing system and phone

Perform remote and/or on-site troubleshooting to determine the best solution for customer issues

Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate next level technician when necessary

Bench testing and troubleshooting of equipment being returned

Identify and assist in the education of staff regarding technology devices and software applications.

Initiates development of specific technology forms and reports as needed.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and applications.

Maintain accurate inventory over items assigned out to you

Maintain accurate times on each project or issue you are assigned

Manages the implementation and application/system upgrades and on-going support of numerous software applications across Redi Systems, Inc. customer base.

Mark up and return red line drawings to supervisor

On site installation of various systems technologies

RMA of defective equipment with various vendors

Set up and prebuild of various device types

Train customers over equipment installed in their homes / businesses

Occasional night or weekend work

Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications and Education

Must be a self-starter with a strong desire and eagerness to learn, grown and take responsibility in technology field

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work to deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong research and analytical skills with logical approaches to problem-solving

Must be adaptable with ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Visio

Certifications with experience and computer background are desirable

Must be able to effectively provide courteous and competent customer service while receiving and making phone call.

Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screen

Must have a current valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation to get to work

Must be able to work an occasional night or weekend when necessary

High school diploma or GED required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

Working Conditions

Settings include office, remote locations, and/or customer locations. May include some evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a standard office environment as well as in the field at customer locations. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in either setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to but not limited to 80lbs; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
